As the first assignment we need to create a website to basically have a base for sharing and demonstration of our progress. For this purpose I used ‘WebPlus X7’. Since it is my first experience in web design I used couple of online tutorials. This app is easy to use and perfect for amateurs like me. Using this app allows you to use templates and have preview of your website before uploading it.

Next step is to setup Mercurial on ubuntu. I used the fablab instructions and keys to setup. If your are not experienced in using ubuntu terminal, it is best to copy and paste the commands so you will not make any mistakes. It is useful to read the on screen messages to realize if you progress was successful or there was errors.

In the end i need to pull from the server, add my website to the folder and push it to the server.

The key steps are as follows:

•  Pull: to pull ‘changesets’ from the central archive.
• Update: to update the local version with the latest changes.
• Add: you need to add your new files to the local version.
• Commit: you need to register these new files.
• Second pull: to make sure that no new data is added to the server after your first pull.
• Push: to send your files to the central archive.
