Here is a draft idea about my project.

I would like to design and make an interactive musical instrument based on the talado - a greek instrument used in orthodox monasteries. Part of the project would be to redesing the mechanical object baset on its culural context and its acoustical properties. Embedded electronical circuits will be designed to augment its musical use. A computer music software will be developed which will respond to the mechanically generated sound, to its vibration, its displacement and to other physical parameters which will be mapped to musical, sonic and possibly graphically projected parameters.
