WEEK 1: ABOUT ME

MY FINAL PROJECT IDEA : KID'S LEARNING AID
I would like to do fabricate a learning aid for kids. I am thinking of a bunny that asks kids questions related to different topics and then the kids get to input their answers from a list of choices as shown in the image
I used GIMP editor to come up with the design. It was tough when I started the design but after a few attempts, I got to learn how to use GIMP and I found it really interesting!!!

ABOUT ME
I am an embedded systems engineer with interests in various fields in electrical and electronic engineering such as: embedded systems, microcomputer applications and industrial systems. I am a graduate engineer from the University of Nairobi. I am proficient in C and C++, Design of electrical and electronic systems for applications such as GPS, GSM, systems that incorporate a wide variety of sensors and actuators and robotics. , Design of single board computer systems for ARM processors, PCB design and fabrication, Project management, CAD drafting using CAD software
WEEK 2: COMPUTER CONTROLLED CUTTING

COMPUTER CONTROLLED CUTTING: AFRICAN HUT
My idea of a press fit is a typical African hut. I used corel draw to design the pieces of the hut and then cut the pieces using laser cutter. I then assembled the pieces to come up with the beautiful hut.

Now this is me struggling with the pieces

And then... VOILA! All the pieces are out!
![](images/press2.jpg)
I had all the pieces ready for assembly

The assembling process!

BEHOLD brothers and sisters! Let there be a Hut! And the hut was made!

3D SCANNING AND PRINTING
I learnt how to use Rhinoceros for making 3D designs. I used basic shapes to come up with my first design. I combined cubes, spheres, cylinders and toroids to come up with a model of a bouncing castle.
