Week 1:
Project Management
During
this week I had to build the skeleton of this website to keep
track of my progress. Last time I got involved with such a task was in
the 90's and I don't even remeber the tool I used. So you could
consider that I have never done such a task before.
First
of all I thought about how I am going to layout this website and what
sections should be included and after going through some random pages
from previous students at Fab Academy 2013 I reached a layout that
is sketched in the below image:
Since I decided on a simple layout I looked for a
simple WISWIG Html editor that is open source as I thought that
DreamWeaver is an over kill and no need of all features and
complications included in such professional software. I chose Kompozer
which I found to be pretty simple with minimum features but can deliver
the job.
I used the following simple four part tutorial that I found by
searching on YouTube!

Also for Creating the banners and images I used GIMP an open source
image editing software. |
