What questions need to be resolved? if the electrical signal can pass through the magnets and screws. if the magnetic joint is stronger enought to keep two modules together if the vibrations will interfere with the electrical joint - what tasks need to be completed? I could program one type of locomotion and test the conection and estability of the robot (good enough) but I'm still working in the maximun goal: A self-reconfiguration, that means to program two types of locomotion to pass of one to another in real time without a external intervention. -what has worked? what hasn't? All minimun goals have been achieved My intention is to develop a totally funcional OPEN modular reconfigurable robot which can be used as kit for research in Self-reconfiguration systems. For that reason I mainly used 3D prinitng to fabricate it, it would be easier to share. if I can develop a fully funcional modular reconfigurable robot good enough it could be sold for research to educational institutes. I would like to share the project under OSHW license, this would allow anyone can replicate it. |
