Concept / proposal for project
Project plan... list of tasks:
develope / document concept how will bots communicate? -
explicit language (IR, Wireless etc.), Implicit (range to companion,
color of companion led, marks left by companion)
list sensors - could use step response but with tx on one bot and rx
on another to do basic range tests
investigate arena
investigate motors - micro motors or servos?
investigate IR comms
investigate sensors

Show robot status's - input states relating to rules
Motors and wheels
============
mini rc heli motors? cheep enough, shipping times are too long, need
to make gears and these are too big when laser cut
gear head motors? Too large and heavy, even the smaller ones.
Of fthe shelf robot gearboxes? Too large and heavy
Micor servos? Easy to mod for continuos rotation, needs
mounting braket
Need to design a mounting bracket for servos
Need to design some wheels
Need to decide on 1 wire (pwm) or 2 wire servo control
Can I try to keep the pot for posn sensing? or use photo
transistor and slotted wheels?
