Week 11:

Composites is one of the most interesting assignments because i learnt new techniques, i've read about Pepakura technique which is kind of like Origami. So i downloaded Peapkura Designer and purchased it. After long time of thinking i decided to design a simple and easy shape like dodecahedron.

I prepared the file to be cut on the laser cutter on CorelDraw coloring the lines to be cut with black and the lines to be engraved with red color.

I laser cut some Canson papers with the parameters (40 Power, Speed 60)

Now, it's time for Origami let's bend some papers and turn them into 3D object using a head gun and your hands.

i got some cotton fabrics and Epoxy, then i dipped the fabrics in the epoxy and covered all over the 3D object and made sure Epoxy covered it all.

I waited it to harden to get my rigid dodecahedron.
