For this week assignment make something big I choose to create one of my final project main part: The Puppetry stage

The design is very simple and based upon six wood pallet, 3 of them are hollow, and look like twisted loops, while the other three are whole, those part use as the stage bottom stage top and roof.

The Hollow parts are layers between the sage bottom and top.

First step was to create the loop, I used the curved I had designed for the puppetry sketch, multiple it and create the spaces in the middle of the three hollow parts.

Then I placed the halls for the rod that hold everything together.

Next step was converting the file into dxf and upload it at the parts works.

I separated different parts into different layers in order to define different kinds of milling.

First I cut the halls, while define some of them as pockets and the other as halls.

Then other cut out parts.

In order to confirm all the definitions there is an option to calculate bfore milling

I defined a 1\8” bit, replaced the bit in the machine and start milling....

Finally I had those loops.

It required a lot of sanding
