I am currently the AP Calculus Teacher at Stoughton High School in Stoughton, Wisconsin (US). Stoughton is a relatively small town of 12000 people. It is located about 25 km south of Madison, the capitol of the State of Wisconsin. We have a large population of Norwegian descent and our largest festival is in May for Syttende Mai (Norwegian Independence Day).

We have many small industries in and around Stoughton which employ engineers. Workers from one local firm approached Stoughton High School with the idea of creating a Fab Lab as a part of a community outreach for the local businesses. We are in the early phases of this project. The physical construction of the lab is complete and the equipment is in place. We plan on opening it up to students next term (Fall 2013) and then the community at large soon thereafter.

I have been teaching high school mathematics since 1995. I enjoy Science Fiction, board games, RPGs, wooden jigsaw puzzles, technology and travel.
