For this week, I came up with a plan to diseminate my final project. I don't plan to sell it commercially for lots of money. I did some research working on the final project and there is not much of a commercial market for my machine, and the ping pong ball launching machine would probably not yield a successfully marketable product. What I think would be the best platform for sharing the technology in my project and its functions would be to have a partnership with a non-profit organization to tech math and science to high school age as a part of an effort to keep them involved and interested in learning math and science throughout their lives.

I would love to see youth coming to the lab for an after-school robotics program or something like that. I already have relationships with people in schools, churches and the like whom I can invite to participate in the program. I was into programming as early as middle school, where I used to program my calculator with formulas and conversion programs for math tests.

I think I could use a big project like building a machine to help teach/introduce youth to smaller technical skills associated with the process for creating it. Basically, I would hope that local advertisement and lots of word of mouth would help to bring lots of people together about what were doing and able to do in the lab, starting with my ping pong ball launcher.
