Then it was machined using a mill.

And we obtained this:

First we tried PEAL (polyethylene aluminium). The first attempt was not very successful as we didn't heated enough. Next, a picture before heating

Then after heating and press fit we obtained the following left picture. As can be seen, there a hole witch means that there was not enough material.

To test the mold we used red pigmented polypropylene, just to test as this is not a composite. The obtained piece was much better and so we decided to make a second attempt with PEAL

For the second attempt we heated a lot more and used a lot more material. the next picture shows the second attempt with PEAL in the left. Notice that the quality is a lot better.
