3D SCANNING AND PRINTING

ASSIGNMENT









 

THE IDEA

  I decided to scan the piece that we use at work for the assembly of rigid catenary.


                       







 

  SCAN

  To scan the piece I use the machine ROLAND (MDX-20)
  The specific parameters used are:
  Pass X: 1.50 mm
  Pass Y: 1.50 mm
  Back Z: 5 mm.
  The approximate time it takes me to scan the piece was 2 hours.



 









 
  THE SCAN RESULT.

  Export file format ".stl" to go to the printer 3d.


   
 






  PRINT

  To 3d print the piece I use the machine HP "Designjet 3D"
  As I have a small piece, change de scale print, and I use a scale of 0.3

  The approximate time it takes me to print the piece was 1 hour.

  The final size of the piece is 3.5 cm (approximately)
