Welcome to Deepu Krishnakumar Fablab Story
The Fab Academy is a global education program that teaches students about digital fabrication and the tools and technologies used in the field of digital manufacturing. Through a combination of online lectures, hands-on workshops, and individual projects, students learn about topics such as 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC machining, electronics prototyping, and many more.
This website documents my personal journey through the Fab Academy program. It contains a collection of my assignments and projects, which demonstrate my understanding and ability with design thinking and digital manufacturing processes. This website serves as a portfolio of my work throughout the program.
Through sharing my experiences and showcasing my work, I hope that my website will become a valuable resource for others who are interested in digital fabrication and the Fab Academy program. Additionally, I hope that my website will serve as a platform for me to connect with others in the digital fabrication community, exchange ideas and best practices, and collaborate on projects and initiatives.
The Mastermind
Prof. Neil Gershenfeld founded Fab Labs and Fab Academy. He is the Director of MIT’s Centre for Bits and Atoms.
Talking about Neil, the first thing that comes to my mind is his quote from his very first session, “Make (Almost) Anything”. This drives me to learn more about Fab Academy.
