What will it do?¶
The robotic hand will move each of its fingers replicating the movements of human fingers, this will be possible because the flanks of each finger will be joined with fishing line to its own servomotor that will be controlled by a local microcontroller.
On the other hand, the operator will have in his hand a mechanism with flexion sensors whose signal will be sent to a second microcontroller, this will be in charge of capturing the signal from the sensor and processing it and then transmitting it wirelessly to the microcontroller connected to the robotic hand.
Who’s done what beforehand?¶
In Fab Academy I saw two projects where a hand is be used, the first project is to rehabilitation hand by Roberto Moya and the other one is a bionic hand to person with physical disabilities by Prashant Gade.
What will you design?¶
I will design the hand, pcb circuit, acrylic box and control program.

Robotic hand, the box that will contain it, some interface circuits and the mechanisms to operate it will be manufactured.

I will use 3D printer, laser cut, CNC PCB (monofab), and the vinyl cutter.
What questions need to be answered?¶
I consider that I have the necessary knowledge to complete my final project.
How will it be evaluated?¶
We will carry out grip tests to determine precision and weight that the hand holds with good adherence.
