Week12- Input devices

Introduction

This week, I had to finish all mechanical design, machine design and input devices in 7 days. Why? Because covid happened

Assignment

individual assignment:

• measure something: add a sensor to a microcontroller board that you have designed and read it

group assignment:

• probe an input device's analog levels and digital signals

Analog signal from Hall effect board

To test the analog signals from the hall effect board, I used a CRO machine. The CRO is used to measure the voltage, current, frequency, inductance, admittance, resistance, and power factor. This device is used to monitor the signal properties as well as characteristics and also controls the analog signals.

Digital signal from IR sensor

• IR sensor is a infrared detecting sensor and are now widely used in motion detectors.

• IR sensor is an electronic device, that emits the light in order to sense some object of the surroundings.

• An IR sensor can measure the heat of an object as well as detects the motion.

• IR detectors are digital out - either they detect 38KHz IR signal and output low (0V) or they do not detect any and output high (5V).
