WEEK 18: PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

COMPLETE YOUR FINAL PROJECT, TRACKING YOUR PROGRESS:

WHAT TASK HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND WHAT TASK REMAINING?

COMPLETED TASK
All tasks related to the project has been completed.

Laser Cutting of the Machenical design and Remote casing parts.
3D Printing Of hexagonal shape for machenaical design and Remote Casing.
Atmega 328p Board for Led Strip.
Atmega 328p Board for Remote.
PCB Board for Led Strip Circuit.
Wiring of both circuits led Strip and 328p.
Vinyl Cutting of logos for Remote.
Push Button Circuit for Remote.
Assembly of Remote and Testing.
wiring and Testing of led Strip with motor.

INCOMPLETED TASK
All tasks related to the project has been completed and there is no any part remaing.

WHAT HAS WORKED? WHAT HASN'T??

Everything has worked as planned. but I got the issue in making video of the project there is a lot of frequency issue while recording the video, Somehow, I managed with different mobile and sometimes lowering the video quality. Motor was perfectly stable with regualting the voltages. upto 1100RPM was too much speed for Clock having perfect time display .

This high speed photo explains it well.

WHAT QUESTIONS NEED TO BE RESOLVED?

Will changing the Speed of motor effect the stablility of the led strip board?
I believe yes. Everything else has been optimized and iterated on many times to be as perfect as possible. Overspeeding may harm the stability.

What will happen when?

Most of my final project work is done. I have planned weeks in this way that my weekly assignment should cover portion of my final project. But I have to get the make the perfect recording which is main task for me after completing whole project perfectly. Leds light illusion effect is too much and most of the time while recording the video. As you can see in the above picture.
final presentation video and slide is remaining which will be done before final presentation. I will also work on final page.

WEEK TASK

Week 0: Principles and practices.

Propose and sketch the final project idea.

week 2: Computer Aided design.

Draft Model of the final project.

Week 10: Input devices.

I design the PCB Board using 328p Board. I made a first test of the hall sensor which I am using as an input (sensor) for my final project.

Week 12: Output devices.

I made a PCB circuit for LED Strip and design the Satshakit Board for my Final Project.

Week 13: Embedded Networking and Communications.

I made a PCB circuit for 38KHZ IR Remote control Transmitter and Receiver using TSOP38238 IR Receiver Diode and Transmitter Led.

Week 16: Applications and Implications week.

- 3D printed the casing of the remote control.
- Laser cut the parts and then assemble the remote.

Week 17: Invention, Intellectual Property and Business Models.

- I stablished the license for my project.
- I 3D printed and laser cutted the frame of the Project.

Week 18: Project Development.

- I recorded the video of the running project.
- I made the Presentation Video and Slide.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?

I can't even begin to make that list. Throughout this project I learn't so much!
I learnt how to make Engineering models in CAD softwares. Solid Works in particular.
I learnt how to 3D print and do print tolerance related corrections to get perfect dimensions inspite of material warping/shrinking issues.
I learnt how to make custom sized PCB to fit a CAD design
I learnt how to handle interrupt routines in AVR C, how to optimize code and how to utilize delay in coding.
I learnt how to make logo and stickers using the Vinyl Cutter.
I learnt how to make remote controller with IR receiver and transmitter.
I learnt how to laser cut the vector part for final project.
I learnt how time critical it is to communicate with hall sensor and LEDs also what their limitations are.
I learnt how wireless networking work for receiver and Transmitter.
