So this week was about Cad .. exploring the different approaches .

2d design¶

Pixels¶

Many softwares were introduced to us on this week . I already was using Gimp for editing files of PCBs , so I wanted to try and use Gimp artistically . I got to say , it was a really amusing experience .

Paws¶

For a start .. Let’s create something from 2 images merged together .

A Cats retaled project and I love these tiny toes .

Batman Working in the shadows to take care of Gotham city

Finally , I am working remotely to take care of my Bomba (Yes , that’s my cat’s name)

Logo¶

Then I wanted to create something from scratch .

Followed this tutorial and created a logo for Fab Lab Egypt .

Start with letters .

Place them and do the merging .

Added Colors , Who knew it would come out this nice !

Vectors¶

Decided to try SketchPad an online designing tool .

Personally , didn’t like it much , couldn’t find a lot of tutorials and tools seem limited .

Yet I managed to create this thing .

3d design¶

My final project was a pet feeder with more options , such as tracking amount and other stuff . So I started to design the tube that will extrude the food .

Searched a while for the types commonly used , came acroos an issue that some designs get the food to be stuck between spiral guide and walls known as binding .
