I had many Ideas for possible projects I would have liked to do, in the end what was most attractive to me was creating a machine that could press used plastics togeter to make a brick that could be used for simple construcion projects. My idea was to be able to mix unlike plastics and make a product that was just good enough to be a reliable construction material. This project will have to include a heating element to heat crushed plastic and actuators to push heated plates together in order to form the brick. Ideally it would also measure the mass of plastic in order to ensure a consistent brick. I also plan to have some kind of bluetooth communication in order to control it via smartphone or other device.
