11. Applications and implications¶
This week i have figured out some of my final project mechanism and it is design.

What will it do?¶
As final project theme, I want to work on a kinetic facade, which modules can receive data from a LDR and provide protection from the sun using some servos or a pneumatic system and purify Air pollution .

What will you design?¶
I will design the Mesh pattern of the kinetic Facade, the Iris shutter, and All the electronics for my project will be designed by me, the board that controls the servo motor and the LDR sensor.

Where will they come from?¶
All the mechanical materials come from the inmediate environment. ( almost I am trying it Electronic components are provided from the LAB or the local market.

What parts and systems will be made?¶
1- The microcontroller that will connect the Light sensor to the Servo motor.
2- The iris shutter’s blades will be made by bio material in the LAB 3- The mesh for the final proudect will be deigned and fabricated on the laser cutter.
What processes will be used?¶
1- Laser cutter for the acrylic 2- Ultimaker3 for 3D printing the joints . 3- Monofab SRM-20 for milling the Boards . 4- Input and Output Devices .
What questions need to be answered?¶
I have to solve the question related with the material behavior in order to obtain an appropriate deployable material that works without any kind of stretching or bending behavior.
How will it be evaluated?¶
I think that the main goal is to control the iris shutter by the servo programed by a light sensor, so if the iris opened and closed as it’s programmed that would be perfectly working.
