About MFC

MFC is a bioreactor that converts chemical energy in the chemical bonds in organic compounds to electrial energy through catalytic reaction of microorganisms under anaerobic condition.

A typical MFC consists of an anode, a cathode, a proton or cation exchange membrane and an electrical circuit.
