Machine Design (part 2 of 2)

What should we make?

  • Machine Design Week was a time to make the machines we needed ourselves.
  • First of all, we had time to think about what we wanted to make and what we could make.
  • We had a lot of good ideas, but we decided to build a drawing machine where we could draw pictures on the wall.
  • We found a good tutorial while looking for a machine that could draw pictures on the walls of the Seoul innovation Fab Lab entrance.

  • We decided to design a simple installable drawing machine here.

  • We decided to work in teams of hardware and software for efficient work.

  • Team hardware

  • Hyunho simply sketched it and I designed it again using Fusion360.

  • Tested the drawing machine frame that finished the design using a laser cutter.
  • week18
  • It doesn't look bad, but the joint was so weak that there was a problem with the coupling.

  • Modified the joints and changed some of the designs.
  • And again, we tested the design using laser cutter.

  • GOOD..!

  • After the design test, we started making real-size frames using the shop bot.

  • The frame was strong for back and forth shaking, but weak for left and right shaking. a slight regret

  • The frame reinforcement was needed because the motor could be shaken when operated.
  • week18

  • The frame reinforcement part was made using the shop bot.

  • The frame-reinforced shape has also become stronger in shaking the left and right sides.
