Node-Red

I used Node-red, which is good for beginners like scratch.

To use Node-red, I downloaded Node.js first.

After downloading Node.js, I used CMD to install Node-red.

Node-red Install command

npm install -g node-red (Windows)

sudo npm install -g node-red (Linux/Mac OS)



Enter "node-red" in the CMD after the install ends







In the browser address bar, type localhost:1880 to connect to Node-RED.







Installed dashboard and serial port from the manage palette











Dashboard and serial port added.







In the serial port, the serial in node was dragged and dropped to the flow.











Double-click the serial node to set the serial port.















The serial port use can be found in Device Manager.

I used COM13 serial port







After checking the settings, press the done button.







Added debug node and graph node and connected to serial nodes.











Press the deploy button to deploy.











And Check the UI by typing localhost:1880/ui in the browser address bar







I checked UI operation and added a chart node.

Processing

Processing is an open source programming language and IDE.

It is easy to use because it is designed to educate people who are not programmers.

After downloading the zip file, I extracted it.

many examples of processing.

I used yellowtail among examples.











open the example and press the run button.

Added the Arduino Library to the processing to connect the processing and the Arduino.

I uploaded the Standard Fimata example to Arduino Uno.

Upload Firmata Firmware to Arduino allow external control of Arduino via the Firmata protocol.















Using the Arduino library, coding is possible similar to Arduino in processing.

Following the Tutorial, coding the RGB LED control.
