About me

Hi! I am Alvaro Macian Morales. I am part of the group responsible for implementing a FabLab at the Technical University of Cartagena, SEDI-Cup-ct FabLab.

My background

I was born in Cartagena, in southern Spain. I’m graduated in mechanical engineering and Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention. Since 2015 I belong to a research group, which applies new technologies to the field of occupational risk prevention. Developing prototypes of security devices and virtual reality training content.

Previous work

In my research group we have developed many projects related to prevention. Some of them are:

- Safety device for automatic actuation of an anti-roll arc in tractors.

- Virtual reality simulator for training evacuation plans in university buildings

- Virtual reality simulator for preventive training in electrical substations.
