About Me

Hey! I’m Brigette!

My name is Brigette and I am currently a junior at Western Reserve Academy! I really love skiing, making, fencing, and playing lacrosse and volleyball! I’ve learned to like studying since I really need to work hard in school to be able to pass, so why not make the whole ‘highschool experience’ enjoyable and actually like the things I’m assigned to do every night! I am a student of Matthew Gerber, a FabAcademy graduate and teacher at my school. Here is his page from 2016. I took his class Digital Engineering and Advanced Digital Engineering.

History with Volleyball

8th Grade was the first year I started playing a sport. I really had no experience, but I jumped into volleyball because I thought it’d be fun. I really never got played because even my underhand serve was wonky, but that isn’t the case now. I’m on starting lineup for my highschool’s team now, but I had to work really hard to get my serve where it is today. I was first on C-Squad, a non-competitive team that just messed around with volleyball in order to make sure that we were at least semi-active. I reaaaaally wanted to make at least JV my sophomore year, so I worked super hard on creating a perfect over-hand serve. I can safely say I’ve got it now! What I wish I had those two years I had to constantly grind to show my coaches that I could be the best player on the court is something I’m making for my team now. I am creating the Volleyball Mat, an invention that can help with tracking the speed and placement of a volleyball serve. It is hung on the wall and the user aims and serves at it.

This is a test that I am doing with pushing to git via terminal.
