1. Principles and practices

I think that I am one of those people who were petrified (as Neil said) with the amount of information we get the first week. And I still am a bit. But the fact that there is something written here by me means I´m also getting (slowly) the knack of it. But I was also shocked by the fact that everything seems so complicated. I can not comprehend that there is no easier way to do this. I fully understand the fact that things should be documented but why spend so much energy in the technique ? Energy we need for creating the content. I heard that the Fabricademy had a easier system so it is possible. Nevertheless I´m dealing with it now and still coping but I´m confident that I will master this while approaching the end in June....2020 !

I always need some diagrams and mindmaps to explain myself some things. So in order to fully understand this whole system I made this diagram. I hope I have it right.

Some Final Proposal(s)

I´m deep into sixties garage punk and surf music. I want to build a device that could do the heavy staccato strumming typical for surf music. I was thinking to start with a electric toothbrush and a plectrum attached to it.

There use to be a similar device called the Gizmo. It created a sound by touching the strings with turning wheels so it was more like an endless violin sound. The idea was taking over by a company and now it´s called the Gizmotron.

The difference will be that may device needs to strum because that´s the essence of Surfmusic. Have a look at Dick Dale, King of Surf music, playing Misirlou.
