DESIGN CONCEPT



So as you can see, I literally combined 4 different things in a 1

  1. A humidifier
  2. A sensor
  3. A displayer
  4. A light

  • an internal support
  • So this was the hardest part, I had so many ideas in my head on how would this work in one design
    my Idea was that for the design to work is that I have to combine two different concepts and make them work together,
    In my case was a LANTERN and a HUMIDIFIER and since I had to work with a Ultrasonic mist maker that was kinda heavy, therefore I had to think of water tank that can make it works, since when I tried it, it needed alot of water to make some mist and it needed to be put with an exact water level.
    Problems I faced while doing the design:
    On the instruction:

  • Deep the module in the water keeping 4 to 5 cm water level above the device.
  • Not deep it in water more than 5cm for maximum fog output.
    So I had to put that in mind while designing it!!

    and for the head of the humidifier, I saw that I should make something that can be taken off when it's needed and made sure to have little holes to assure the mist to find its way outside!

  • As I said, I wanted to make a humidifier that looks like a lantern and works like a censer, plus I had no choice but to make it little big since the internal body of the water tank was designed little big for the mist maker!!! In short I was limited in choices


    and with arabic touch
    However for the design of the external body, I made something that can look like a typical traditional lantern with some traditional touch!!!though, in the design I could'nt use the frame to show how it's supposed to be since every time I try to do that, my PC crashes while doing that.



    Like I said, I struggeled a lot with my PC during the designing phase of the external body, since it crashed whenever I tried to use the EXTRUDE, thus I made everything manually when I laser cut it !!


    And the place where I would put the atomiser place with a tube attached to it, which is going to be in water.For it to be more effective, it's better for the atomiser plate to not have a direct contact with water, therefore I filled the tube with cotton to be soaked with water and do it's job to provide the place with enough water to be transformed into mist!
