domestic / allied electronics production and supply¶
NOTE: i found out that this it is very hard or impossible to source electronics parts primarily made in the u.s. when i received parts designed by U.S. Companies the manufacturing county of origin of my parts for this project was: Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand. not a single component was made in the U.S.
it continues to be an issue to get electronics parts in a timely manner. Russia is under the control of oligarchs and putin and China’s continued support of putin. can we, are we should we, do anything to source and make parts here in usa.

using the guide above I will try to find mfg in USA to replace overseas suppliers going forward.

Update 2022-07(Jul)-31 Sunday: Our dwindling domestic electronics production capability is something that manufacturing experts have been warning politicians about for decades. The the Chips and Science Act just passed the senate, and house. It will be passed by president biden next.
I agree with both critics and supporters of the Chips and Science Act except for idiotic politicians who are voting against it for partisan far right political reasons. We need more republicans, democrats, and independents with a real moral compass like Adam Kinzinger and possibly like Liz Cheney. I realize I need a few examples of democrats and far left politicians examples that show moral fortitude.

The Steel Founders’ Society of America (SFSA) president Ray Monroe and other heavy manufacturing leaders have been warning us politicians about our lack of ship building capability in the us for several decades. When will politicians wake up and support us manufacturers and domestic production, and matching human skill sets, from large scale process’s like ship building, to small highly innovative job shops.
Job shops are run by 1-30 humans highly cross-trained in skills from machinist, tool maker and welder, to sales, design, and accounting, we need subsidized education on these skill sets. large ship building operations in the u.s. employ and between ? and 11,500 humans to operate.
The US is ranked the 10th largest shipbuilder worldwide.source
currently the only allies with the largest ship yards in the world are Japan and south Korea, which are geographically vulnerable to militarily. Wake up merica! However I am not sure if this is really the case, have mfg associations been exaggerating this issue to their own benefit? see:
