My Final PROJECT

I decided to make a sorting waste machine for recycling,at the begining ,it wasn't clear the detailed vision as I didn't use SMD's before or milled my own pcb's ,but I had a concept.So every week I built up my project upon the given information and technics.At the begining,I started making a draft of the internal sorting mechanism after I decided to take as input 10 items at a time.I changed the internal mechanism and constructed it according to the given tools and resources.

After making the sorting mechanism I started drafting the filtering mechanism ,I took samples of average daily waste and tried to study the average size of the items, and tried to decide the constraints that I should set at the begining.So I drafted this mechanism for the filtering and I printed it.





I was working in parallel at the assignments at the control system and the electronics.In the input week I searched for the sensors I should use after a lot of reaserch I found out a new sensor that can replace three sensors I would use and do the same task. I began testing the sensors with arduino,after that I began designing the PCB and I fabricated it.
In the output assignment ,I used the stepper ,servos and LCD that I would use at the final project.In the Network and communication week ,I worked on linking the sensors PCB with the output PCB with SPI protocol.And In the Interface week ,I worked on the interface of the machine with the users.

It took me sometime to work on the assignments as they were connected ,I worked in parallel.while making the PCB of the input week,I had to study the Network and communication , and while making the PCB of the output week I had to study the interface.It took me sometime to synchronise all the PCB's.
I used 3D printing to the sorting and filtering mechanism because it wasn't clear how to do it otherwise with the given resources, the design was a bit tricky.
Right now I'm working on the input PCB and the Networking with the output PCB .The output PCB worked but the input PCB still I'm working on it ,it is a bit tricky because it combines many sensors at the same time and it should be programmed really carefully as it will be the master PCB , and it will give order to the rest of the control system.
