For the output devices week, we decide to measure the energy consumption of an arduino shield while one servo was running. We hooked up the positive probe to the positive terminal of the power supply and the native probe to the positive terminal of the shield. This setup is necessary because the multimeter measures current by letting the current flow through the multimeter. We found out that the shield draws about 1.2 amps while one servo is running.
