10.1 Applications and Implications

What will it do?

The project i’m going to do aiming at having parents taking care of their puppies during parents’ absence.

Who’s done what beforehand?

My initial idea comes from one project from instructables that used Arduino,servo and an used water bottle to make a dog feeder, triggered by sound.

What will you design?

I will build a House, with a food dispenser built-in, that

  • Smart_Puppy_House has one floor, with bed of course but also a Built_In automatic feeding system.
    • It allows parents to feed their dog through their mobile phone or lattop remotely.
    • It allows parents to set the time and dog can be fed automatically.

  • Smart_Puppy_House has a nice house made of wood, with its top as a sofa, where parents can sitting on it while puppies are sleeping underneath.

What parts and systems will be made?

2 parts. The house itself and the automatic dispenser.

What processes will be used?

  • 2D and 3D design: the house and dispenser structure.
  • CNC milling: PCB of my board and the house
  • Laser Cutting: The dispenser
  • 3D printing: the servo propeller

What questions need to be answered?

The existed function provided by ESP32CAM server only have access to cameras.I will need to find a way to have my ESP32 board to be controlled by the mobile phone.

How will it be evaluated?

  • It should be able to feed the dog according to the time set up
  • It should be able to be remotely controlled through a mobile phone or laptop
