PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
This week I finished my final project.
1. Individual Assignment
Complete your final project, tracking your progress:
- what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?
- what has worked? what hasn't?
- what questions need to be resolved?
- what will happen when?
- what have you learned?
1.1 Completed tasks
For week 20 I complete the following tasks:
- Electronic designs
- CAD designs
- Electronic programming
- Printed parts
- Testing programming of camera
- CNC cutting part for leg mold
1.2 Remain tasks
For week 20 I don't complete the following tasks:
- Metallic leg mold bracket
- Perform mold of leg and thigh in polyurethane foam
- Integrate the electronic part inside the case of the camera
- Update the final video
- perform the visualization of the camera inside the knee model
1.3 What has worked? what hasn’t?
1.3.1 Worked
- The FabDuino controller.
- 3D printing of the case of the camera and the bones (part of the tibia and part of the femur) that will allow the articulation of the knee..
- LED array light brightness controlling with GUI through serial communication
1.3.2 Does not work
- Improve the support of the knee joint.
- The resolution of the camera was low. It would have to improve the quality of the image.
1.4 What questions need to be resolved?
The main question is whether there would be the possibility of integrating the open CV interface with the fabduino to be able to directly control the intensity of the LED from the case of the camera. (I could control the intensity of the camera LED from the interface through FTDI)
1.4 What have you learned?
What I learned is to plan the times of each process to be able to fulfill all the tasks.
I learned that to make anatomical molds, the anatomical structure must be preserved.
I learned to work with polyurethane foam to create molds.
