Dissemination plan¶
License selection¶
To choose a license, I used the help of this website. To me, the best option looks like “The Unlicense” license. According to this website, “The Unlicense” license is,
A license with no conditions whatsoever which dedicates works to the public domain. Unlicensed works, modifications, and larger works may be distributed under different terms and without source code.
However, it is not listed at opensource.org. Furthermore, as I am using parts of Niel’s code which is under MIT License, I have to use MIT License for that part of the code. In order to keep things simple, I am just going to use MIT License for all the works developed.
For the documentation (images, videos etc.,), I will use the CC BY 4.0 license.
Future Work¶
As I am planning to build just the very basic structure now, so I will enhance this project furthermore over the coming months. I am planning to do the following modifications
- A bigger case, made out of wood instead of plastic
- Use a high capacity power supply.
- Add a voltage conversion board using a buck converter
- Use high power LEDs
- Bigger screen
- More software features (phone support)
- Add phone charging support
- Add wireless temperature sensor to monitor outside weather
I am planning to upload the future work on my personal webpage.
Use case¶
This is a personal project and I have no intention of commercializing it.
