1. Principles and practices¶
A Robotic Plant.
I was born in a farmhouse, I grow surrounded by animal and plants. Now I am far from that place. My aim is to work on something I don’t have to invent or already is part of my knowledge. I will produce a robotic plant. I will give capabilities to a “fake” plant to make it more powerful, just like Superman.
Research¶
I picked a topic of personal interest from my schoolar years. It is the use of robots in architecture and the kinetic or responsive architecture. All what I learned mixed with what I know.

Schemes and Drawing Ideas¶
The image below this lines shows the main idea for the project proposal which should simulate a plant, as it is shown in the photograph. It will have certain shape and components as roots, leaves and branches. It will be contained in certain dimensions.
I am proposing two different types of behaviours as response to two different inputs, such proximity and noise sensor.
Since it will recreate an aerial plant, I should think about a sistem to hang it from the roof. I think the best solution will be just a tensioning cable.
Thinking about its components due to its behaviour, a core and a frame should be place to hold the branches and leaves.
Futher design development will include the solution of an core where multiple microphones will help to place a sound source and behave in relation.
Since this robotic/fake plant will be placed in a classroom it will help or increase the habitability interacting with the occupants.
