About me¶

I am Germán Colomar, born in Ibiza.

I am an architect based in Madrid and Ibiza, working as teacher and FabLab Coordinator for Universidad Europea de Madrid. I also collaborate with the different architecture firms. Nowadays I am working as architect for Porras Guadiana Architects. In the past I have colaborated with GilBartolome Architects, Controlmad and Estudio Pedro Feduchi all of them based in Madrid. I have work for Renew Architect & Planner Group based in Shanghai, China.

My background¶

I was born in a farmhouse called es Murtar, in Ibiza Island where I grow up playing to build houses with my brother. There was not much to do but that… Me and my brother were quite nervous, so we practice judo and athletics, we used to learn english, german and computing. At the age of eighteen I moved to mainland of Spain to continue with my graduate studies.

Previous work¶

Me as employee for the UEM, the director of the school Oscar Rueda and the teacher Pablo Gil, created the “Club de Fabricación Digital”. The final purpose of it was to build an expositor to show the students works. You can see more in the following links.
