20. Project development¶
Assignment¶
Complete your final project, tracking your progress: what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain? what has worked? what hasn’t? what questions need to be resolved? what will happen when? what have you learned?
Learning outcomes¶
Implement project plan Apply time management techniques Summarise and communicate the essence of your project development
nueval-Check List¶
what is the deadline? How much time do I have left? what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain? how will I complete the remaining tasks in time? what has worked? what hasn’t? what questions still need to be resolved? what have you learned?
What I have did¶
This week I developed my final project. Prior to this week, I made a fundamental functions I used for my final such as board creation, programming, connecting input and output devices.
what tasks have been completed, and what tasks remain?¶
- Making connecter pin stable
Removing solder on jumper wire by heating up with soldering iron
Inserted vinyl tube and give heat
-
Cut a board for the parts to make them stable
-
Box
-
servo mortar
-
battery case
Stick battery case with this bis(Flat head screw M3*8mm)
-
electric board
-
Slit for assemble all
-
-
Tasks remain
- Needed to create video and presentation image with designated format by the presentation
- A day prior to the presentation, I would be needed to submit test video and image on GitLab in order to verify if I can correctly upload and if the system properly reflects them. I’ve already experienced video creation for Machine building, so it won’t take time I assume

what has worked? what hasn’t?¶
For this week, things worked very well. I’ve done my work not only the fundamental features but also inner work to make the parts stable. One thing hasn’t worked well was painting. As I explained above, just spraying on MDF reflected uneaven surface. And I sprayed too much, so I made some uneven surface. Next time I put sanding sealer first and spray little by little.
what questions need to be resolved?¶
I don’t think questions need to be resolved remains. Ready for presentation!
what will happen when?¶
- Deadline
- Presentation: June 12th, 10PM JST
- Submission: June 19th
what have you learned?¶
I attempt to paint MDF white with spray, but it reflected the bumps on MDF and not smooth. After that I googled how to paint MDF beautifully, and I found that sanding sealer will be one of the solutions for that. MDF tends to absorb paint, so I need to make basement layer with sanding sealer for a beautiful paint.

One more thing I learned is if I make a product for someone or as “Product”, I have to think and create inside carefully. If I just exhibit my work in exhibition or something, I might not have to care about inner work, but if I want to make it for commercial product, I must care about it for safety, destribution and so on. That’s why I’ve done a lot of inner work after I finished creation of the fundamental features.
