Wireless charging desk
About project
The wireless charging desk . it is made of organic wood(engraved on it) , and can charge quite a few devices at the same time (phones,tablets,computers and other) , if the devices support wireless charging.The whole surface of the desk is wireless charger .I think in the future computers will be able to charge wirelessly , so I think it's a great idea to make desk like this .It will change the way of charging at all. I have done some research , there is wireless charging desks , but there are not full charging desks, only local area of the desk is wireless charger(only for one phone , or computer ).
What is the project goals ?
- Make a desk which is full wireless charger , it means wherever you put you device on the table it will charge it wirelessly.
- Make special design for desk.
- It must have display that will show some information about desk .
- Also it must have ability to change its height , that whey user can work by standing .
What would you need to make in the process ?
- Mdf , plywood or organic wood . About 1370x 660mm size .
- Aluminium lists ,thickness about 3mm-5mm .
- Paint for aluminium ,and oil for wood .
- PLA material for 3D printer .
- Epoxy .
- Inductive coils , and wires
- Transformer .
- Electronics components like resistors ,capacitors, micro controllers and other .
What do you know and what should you learn ?
I have learned 3D, 2D modeling , PCB circuit and layout design , Hardware programming . I have an experience of working with different devices such as ShopBot , SRM-20 , Epilog mini laser cuter , 3D printers(Makerbot , Ultimaker) and software programs such as Proteus , Pads PCB design software , Autodesk Inventor Pro , Corel Draw , FlatCam , Labview and others . I have also learned the programming languages c , c++ , Java .
I need to learn Hardware programming and PCB circuit and layout design more deeply , and how to plan my project , and a lot of thing that I'm going to figure out through course .
What project inspire you ?
I haven't seen such a project , the inspireation comes from idea that you can have a desk without any wires , and it can support several devices at the same time .
