2. Project management

This week I worked on defining my final project idea and started to getting used to the documentation process.

That’s what this thing said. I actually played around and started making my website.

What I Did

First, I tried to go through and do everything throught the command menu. Given that I am using a Mac for work (first Mac - it is going fine, but still have some stuff to learn.), it did not go smoothly. So I did everything online here instead, and decided that you all need to see pictures of my dogs.

I updated some stuff, but am leaving other things as is and changing small stuff. I’m thinking of them as Easter Eggs for now, but will probably change them to be fully adapted into my style in the short term future. I also included my ideas for a project on the first assignment. I will add my sketches later - they are somewhere in my classroom. Hopefully, I will be able to be more in depth with everything in thse descriptions when I am not sick.

UPDATE:

Phew! Finally getting back to this one here. So a bit of an update as to what I have done:

I reviewed the Markdown tutorial to get familiar with the templating. I have still been doing everything online, again owing to the fact I have a chromebook at home and am likely to use any one of like 6 computers, and all of my stuff lives in google drive. I think by looking through all of my sites, I’ve kind of gotten it!

I also looked at the GitLab documentation for example to figure out how to do everything. Again, I got pretty good at it. Picture of my dogs to prove it! The trickiest thing is to make sure the file name you type in here matches the actual file type. But yeah, one dot for each folder you go up, then put in the new directory address and file name. For pictures I like to do the exclamation point and empty brackets followed by the address in parantheses.

For videos, use the embed link from Youtube! Straightforward.
