Assigment:
Model (raster, vector, 2D, 3D, render, animate, simulate, ...) a possible final project, and post it on your class page
I used illustrator and autocad to model in 2D but these programs are limited to model on 2D, on Autocad yo can model on 3D too but I did not like it.
On these programs you can model 2D objects, the interface is intuitive, on the tool bars you will find all that you need to create draws on 2D (lines, curves, geometric figures, text). I prefer use Autocad because this program have more tools to make a better draw on 2D.
To model on 3D I used solid edge from siemens and fusion 360 from Autodesk, these programs are similar but I prefer to use solid edge because is the software that I recently used it to model on 3D and I know where I can find all the tools.
Using geometric figures and trim lines I could create the model on 2D after that, I use extrude to make the buttons and cut to make the display hole. I prefer use solid edge because you can find swiftly all the tools that you need, because each tool have a designated button on the interface on solid edge.
