COMPUTER-CONTROLLED MACHINING

In this task we must realize in form grupal tests of court, know types of tools of court, this way as the speeds of advance and of court depending on the material to using.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT

Firstly we have realized a design of a figure with grooves, drilled holes and court in AutoCad:

https://www.autodesk.com/products/autocad/free-trial

We it go on to the Enroute, which is a software with which we work of the hand with the router which we possess:

http://enroutesoftware.com/

We learned that depending on the material, it will be the diameter of the tool, the number of edges and that not they all were cutting to the same speed, besides which the depth of court will not have to exceed the diameter of the tool.

We give the speeds and depths of court.

Some types of tools which we possess:

https://www.traverstool.com.mx/hcar_30/20-411-011.html

We will use a tool of ¼ " of diameter, of two edges, to cut MDF (medium density fibreboard) of 12 mm of thickness.

We use a router AXYZ 4008

https://www.axyz.com/us/

It has a spindle cooled by oil that reaches the 23000 rpm.

This one is the piece with which we experiment, we have cut her with 6000 mm/min of speed of advance and 11000 rpm of speed of court and four spent ones from court to take care of the tool.

Though for the type of material it was necessary to to have cut slower, since several caps broke.

ASSIGNMENT

ROUTER CUTTING

Based on of drawing in RhinoCeros, I want to make a banquito, of 50 cm x 70 cm approximately:

Little by little it is taking form

I finish my design

I guard it as STL, to start making from SLICER

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fFH_TcI-9U

It will make it with the technology of interlocked slices

In Valchromat of 12 mm of thickness, and I measure the leaf of material, in this case 244 for 122 cm, it is a material similar to the MDF, only that harder and it is of different colors

http://www.valchromat.pt/

Already it export to Autocad's DXF

I it have accommodated in the leaf of 244 x 122 cm, which in addition it is the area of court of our router

I list this one for from Enroute to give the orders to cut.

A cutter will use of ¼ " of diameter of two edges

I’ll give 2 spent ones with a speed of court of 7500 mm / mm and a past end with 1200 mm/min.

There places and fixes the valchomat of 2.50x1.30 m, to the table of the router AXYZ

It starts cutting the first piece

After 40 min

The waste

I start assembling the bank, and lucky assemble it was easy, the pieces fitted very well one with others.

Finished bank

I had the fortune and the honor of which Sherry Lassiter was proving my bank
