Plan for disemination
The project will be open source, so once the project is working and the documentation is completed
I will be used the FabLab network and platforms for sharing projects as instructables (https://www.instructables.com/) or even youtube videos to put it
in consideration of other people and receive reviews and improvements.
At the same time it’s going to be tested with students and teachers at Anáhuac Querétaro.
Future opportunities
After the project is done I will like to give it a “stand-alone” quality, which means that could work only
plugging it in and selecting a crystallographic structure or plane. This could be made adding an app (and Bluetooth connectivity) or a
keypad and LCD screen to the cube.
Also, once I find a good alternative to the soldering problem (join 125 LED’s) I’ll like to extend this alternative to make a big LED panel,
which can integrate sensors or an interface which will allow an interaction with the users.
Beyond the project I hope to keep learning about the design of projects and objects which can help in teaching a wide range of topics,
not only during the use of them, but most important during the development process. As a teacher I think the FabLab and the work dynamics
in it, offers a great opportunity and many possibilities to help the education in all levels. That´s why I would like to start developing
projects, with teachers and students, aimed to improve the learning and understanding of many topics as mathematics, design, chemistry,
programming, electronics, mechatronics, etc. The idea is to start creating technological solutions or aid for the classroom at the
university level. However, with time start to work with teacher and students in primaries and high schools.
