Introduction

My name is Liam Maskey and I am doing the Fab Academy through the Nerve Centre Fab Lab in Derry with remote instruction provided by Nuria, Fab Lab Leon, Spain

I work as an electronics engineer and have experience in designing hardware for a wide range of applications. I've also done some embedded programming although this has usually been for proof of concept or to check the hardware works so I wouldn't call myself a programmer.

Other interests include reading and hill walking.

I am doing the Fab ACademy because I want to set up a Fab Lab in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland. For this venture to be successful I need to be trained in the tools and techniques of digital fabrication and the Academy represents a way to do this
