Task:
- design a machine that includes mechanism+actuation+automation
- build the mechanical parts and operate it manually
- document the group project and your individual contributionConceptAt the beginning we have divided our tasks, so that I had to to the Frame and the x Axies. Well I like the Frame of the BigRep, especially the edges, thats why I have designed something similar. I have decided to make the Frame out of 18mm PlyWood and und cut it with the big Machine out. 18mm is because I wanted to be it stable. Here You can see the 3D design of the PlotterFrameAnd here are the Sketches in FusionHere are all parts of the sketch that I have made. You can see that I have opened the sketch in Rhino, well that is because I had to set different layers for the different parts of the frame.
Here you can see the Motor part in detail.
-Yellow Layer: for the screws
-Blue Layers: is for the Pocket
-Red Layer: is for some offset, that motor has
-Asure Layer: is for the Nema17 spiral
Here is how my Final 2D file looks like. You can see that I have embeded the 2D design to the html page. I had to google alot but, now I am happy to share the likn how you can do this too. Here you can find it. xD Don't forget, this plugin works only with .dwg format.CNCHere you can see the settings, that I have used for the crews holes. Yellow layer, Here I have used 3 mm Tool.
Reminder: Make the holes at least 3.2mm in DMHere are the Settings for the Pocket, here and in the Cuts below I have used 6 mm tool.
Reminder: Make the holes at least 6.2mm at the ages in DMSettings for some offset of nema17Settings for the CutOutDone xDHere you can see pocket for the motor. This is how the assembled machine looks like, you can also see some drawing examples, that we made with this machine.AnalyseWell as I have told before, we have splitted the tasks between us, so that each single member had to make 1 axies, ofcourse we had to collaborate with each other, because the part that we had to design at our own should fit together.
Well the good thing about our design is that it is very rigit, because the frame was made of 18 mm plywood. Our project has one small thing that has to be improved in the future: we have use !aluminium! pipes, to hold the weight of the y and z axies but it is better to use the iron parts.
