Computer-Controlled Cutting

Our group work assignment is to characterize the lasercutter, making test part(s) that vary cutting settings and dimensions

For Acrylic with thickness of 6mm, a similar test was made as seen below. The difference between the intended size and the result of the lasercutting was 0.47mm divided by the number of cuts which was 7, the kerf was 0.067mm.

For Acrylic with thickness of 3mm, the test was replicated and the kerf was measured to be 0.05mm.

For MDF of thickness 5mm, the kerf was measured to be 0.053mm.
