Produce a puzzle board and give it to a Syrian family in Brighton The family has already tested the prototype. Once I have made the version I am working on for the final project I will ask them to test it again, then once I have made any necessary changes, I will give them a copy to keep.
Write an Instructable and publish it as a Creative Commons, Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike Other makers may want to make the game to give to refugees local to them, so I will create a how-to guide.amilies in Brighton and Totnes, through contacts in 'Voices in Exile' and 'Beyond Borders'.
Write a short article for the RSA Journal or Fellowship Magazine The RSA have provided a grant for this project, so I will write an article about the making process and if the game has impact.
Longer Term Goals
Create an digital version of the game with lots more words and the other games and make it available as an App that can be easily customised to meet the needs of individual learners. I’ve made a working prototype in Scratch, but this uses Flash, so I need to find a way to make it available on another format so it can work on Kindle tablets)
Take the game at an event such as the Maker Faire. To reach makers who may want to create the game for a refugee family near them.
Promote both versions through social media and the University Press Office To reach people who might want to make the game and people who know children who could be interested in using the digital version.
