Fletch's Fab Academy 2014 Blog

Hi all, I'm James Fletcher, I live in Manchester UK,  I'm in my 40's and currently taking Fab Academy because the Fab Lab concept fascinates me and I'm looking for something new and challenging to do.

I studied physics and electronics at Manchester University.  Whilst at University I worked part time for Acorn Computers providing tech support for their travelling exhibitions.  After leaving University I went into business with a friend of mine writing computer games for Acorn Archimedes, Mac, Saga Saturn and Sony Playstation. I then got together with some other friends and we created a vehicle telematics business providing comercial vehicle and driver monitoring solutions which I was technical driector of for 12 years.  Now I'm looking for my next adventure.
