The final part of my lighting instrument is the housing that encases the electronics and the lens.

The object was laser cut from 1/8" acrylic. The main body is 17" x 6". I used a plastic heater to mold each side of the cube to 90 degrees on either end. EAch side of the cube is 6" long. The main body has several slots for the two smaller sides to fit into. The second and third sides house the servo and the lens.

Image of the gear joint that moves the lens. As this was my first attempt at making mechanical joints, I'm proud I got the lens to move at all!
