Computer-controlled cutting (Feb 6)

Assignment
Design, make, and document a press-fit construction kit

For this week we have created a press-fit construction kit. Teachers have explained to the class how to use vector graphics editor as Inkscape. This is a program easy to learn, but I think not as powerful as Rhino.

My construction kit is to design a structure that can assemble the different pieces that make it up for use as room lamp.  I thought of a design that tries to make the most of the material used, in this case, a cardboard sheet of  four hundred by four hundred millimeters and seven millimetres wide.

To cut the material we used the Legend 36EXT Epilog Laser.  After installing the Legend 36EXT  driver I could change the laser properties of speed and power.

I created a vinyl logo for my final proyect. I'm going to design the robot structure of methacrylate to put the vinyl on it. For this reason, I don't take a photo of the vinyl yet.
