Week 2 - Mercurial

Week 2 - Mercurial

Home

For our Week 2 project, we were asked to being using Mercurial. Mercurial is an open source version control system that allows users to upload files to a server. Each upload can be tracked to allow for multipul versions of a file. A good example of how this process works is to equate it to a time lapse photograph. Each frame represents an upload that leads to the final product. In this case, the final product is the completed version of a project or file.

Another example of this program is a service calledn Drop Box. Drop Box allows users to upload files from any location with internet access and then download them or upload new versions any time. The data stored there can be used as a backup or as a way to work without using a flashdrive."
