FabLab Academy 2012

This week's task was to tryout the 2D/3D software listed in the
course
material, and then produce drawings of the final project.
I'm using a Macbook Pro with Ubuntu running in a Virtual Box. I
discovered that Rhino is currently Beta testing the Mac version of
their software so I have signed up and am now using this package for
3D
work - I have also used Blender. 2D - tied Sketchup and Inkscape.
Also I have discovered an iPad app - iSculptorHD - which is quick
and
easy to use and can export obj files.
Some screenshots of 3D Modelling using Rhino:
This example was originally created in iSculptorHD and imported into
Rhino as an obj file.

The remaining examples are first drafts of some of the mechanisms
required for the control of the eyes and mouth.
