I chose to design a cylindrical shut off valvue to use with a shut off switch to turn water off into a house when you leave for vacation. My In-Laws home flooded with considerable damage when their water pipe under the kitchen sink broke while they were out for the afternoon. I am hoping to design a switch to put by their door so they can turn off the water when they leave. The shut off valve would be placed at the juncture where the water comes into the house. I had a rough drawing of what it would look like so it seemed like a good idea to try to design a section of it in class. I began with a simple bead into which I planned to put a ball. This was not as simple as it looked. In the end I settled for just designing a bead. Due to time contraints I have put the shut off valve design on the shelf until later. I attempted to scan a simple ball on the epilogue. So far I have not had any success, but I intend to keep on trying.
